Born in coastal Alabama, trained at Parsons in New York City, and now painting in Asheville’s River Arts District alongside his two golden retrievers, Taylor Moore wrangles acrylic paint like a lasso: fast, loose, and full of color.

His work leans into traditional masculine imagery like motorcycles and machinery, but softens the edges with bold palettes and a wink. Navigating being gay in the South, Taylor grew up thinking toughness had one look. His paintings say otherwise. They’re about motion, reinvention, and reclaiming the ride. When he’s not in the studio, Taylor moonlights (okay, daylights) as the Global Brand Creative Director for Pearson, a UK-based, multinational education company. Giddy up!
