Metal objects and industrial places have always interested me: old industrial buildings, auto shops and small town gas stations. I make pieces out of new steel, scrap metal, local and exotic wood and found objects. My pieces are furniture that you can sit on, eat at or put stuff on. They are also wall art and sculptures.

In the studio I usually jump around from welding and grinding steel, to cutting and sanding wood. This disorganized process frees my mind, and allows for new ideas, techniques and design to sneak in. Not an efficient process, but the free-flowing nature keeps me going back to the shop.

I know a piece is near completion when I start talking out loud to myself. At that point I know that I have made something that excites me. That is the time to share it with other people and let them experience what I am getting out of this process.
