Robin is an expressionist painter living and working in Asheville, NC.

A native of Charleston, SC, he discovered oil painting while studying commercial graphic arts at Savannah College of Art & Design. Obsessed with postwar abstract expressionists and figurative painters, he turned his attention from a rigid commercial approach to focus on large scale paintings in an attempt to move past those formal, learned processes. The result is a very personal process that allows the improvised paint application to inform the final image.
